Fun times for families at local leisure spot<br />
<strong>The</strong> focus is very much on family<br />
entertainment at the popular leisure outlet,<br />
Ferrymead Golf, and with new activities just<br />
launched in time for the school holidays there<br />
is even more for families to enjoy.<br />
A new moving target has been installed at<br />
the driving range, which features pigs and<br />
ducks for you to try and hit with the ball, plus<br />
there are three clown heads that ‘catch’ balls<br />
fired from four air cannons.<br />
Another exciting new offer is the ‘Family<br />
Affair’ package available on Wednesday and<br />
Thursday evenings. For just $99, up to two<br />
adults and three children can play unlimited<br />
miniputt – indoor and outdoor, hit 150 balls<br />
on the driving range, which includes club<br />
hire, and enjoy a large WOW pizza and a<br />
bowl of fries. Bookings are essential for this.<br />
For the grown-ups Ferrymead Golf is<br />
offering specials every Wednesday, Thursday<br />
and Friday, from 5pm-8pm. <strong>The</strong>se are: $11<br />
jugs of Speights or Macs<br />
Gold; $22 Bucket ‘n’<br />
Bevvy, which includes 100<br />
balls (excluding club hire),<br />
plus a pint of Sepights<br />
or Macs Gold, or a glass<br />

For the ladies, Friday<br />

creation of the Ferrymead<br />
Events Centre for functions in<br />
the restaurant area. <strong>The</strong> facility<br />
can cater for up to 170 people,<br />
including 110 in the marquee,<br />
so is ideal for all types of<br />
celebration such as special<br />
birthdays, anniversaries and<br />
engagements.<br />
It is also a great spot for<br />
work Christmas functions,<br />
and there are still some dates<br />
available for the upcoming festive season.<br />

Hills, plenty of parking, as well as food, drink<br />
