PRIZES: Mayor Sam Broughton drawing the Tai Tapu Raffle winners. Tai Tapu fair draws more than 2000 MORE THAN 2000 people turned out for the Tai Tapu community fair at the weekend. Held in the grounds of the Tai Tapu Hotel, it was the most successful fair yet, organisers say. Fair-goers enjoyed the largest number of stalls ever, offering a diverse range of local artisan and food products. One of the highlights was the Tai Tapu community raffle fundraiser, drawn by Mayor Sam Broughton. This community initiative organised by the Tai Tapu Community Association supports the fundraising appeal for the new Tai Tapu Community Centre at the Rhodes Park Domain which is expected to be completed in June. More than $7000 was raised by the raffle.
