Accord Grand Ball<br />

The Magic Begins on Saturday 24th <strong>March</strong> <strong>2018</strong> at the Glasgow<br />

Marriott Hotel.<br />

ACCORD Hospice will be will be delving into the wizarding world of Harry Potter<br />

& The ACCORD Grand Ball and we can’t wait to entertain our supporters.<br />

This fascinating turn will whisk our guests through the magical world of<br />

Hogwarts to enjoy a glittering black-tie ball in the luxurious surroundings of<br />

the Marriot Hotel in Glasgow.<br />

We will welcome you in to our drinks reception courtesy of The Marriot Hotel;<br />

games and Harry Potter themed entertainment in the lobby and during the<br />

course of your feast, with our fabulous compare Mr Steve McKenna hosting<br />

and the wnderful MacDonald Brothers also performing on the evening!<br />

All witches and wizards are encouraged to attend in their finest dress robes<br />

(formal attire) and enjoy a fabulous evening supporting ACCORD Hospice.<br />

Three course wizard’s meal, bubbly on arrival and lots of entertainment!<br />

If you book by the end of the 10th month for the early owl offer of £800 table<br />

of 10 or £80 per ticket.<br />

St James orchestra<br />

are delighted to<br />

present their spring<br />

concert, full of<br />

musical favourites<br />

and an exciting debut<br />

performance.<br />

In honour of the<br />

centenary of Leonard<br />

Bernstein’s birth the orchestra will begin with the overture from Candide.<br />

Dvorák’s much loved 9th symphony, Op. 95 ‘From the New World’ will follow<br />

along with Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances, Op. 59. The orchestra will<br />

also be giving the debut performance of Summer Bummer from the Tartan<br />

Terrors – Three Orchestral Dances on the Highland Midge, Op. 23, a witty and<br />

playful piece by the orchestra’s very own Kester Clark.<br />

Conducted by Leon Reimer and led by Fiona Butcher, the orchestra will<br />

perform at Johnstone Town hall on Saturday 21st April at 7.30. Tickets will<br />

be available at Johnstone Town Hall, Paisley Arts Centre and at the door. For<br />
