Center for Workforce Innovation
St. Louis Community College
The Center for Workforce Innovation at the
Florissant Valley campus will:
• Serve over 500 students annually through
the expansion of existing instruction and
launch of new programs.
• Enhance instruction through effectively
planned spaces that create synergy between
programs.
• Establish cutting-edge new programs
in aerospace composites and green
technologies.
• Assist dislocated workers by offering
accelerated training programs.
Facility
The 32,000-square-foot building will house 10
instructional labs: six Aerospace technology,
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC),
Industrial Maintenance Training (IMT), Green
Technologies/Sustainable Construction and
Information Technology. The facility will
also include three all-purpose classrooms,
conference room, student lounge and a public
Cyber Café.

be the instructional
facility for the
St. Louis Aerospace
Institute. The center
will house six aerospace instructional labs:
metal structures, electrical/mechanical,
composites fabrication, composites assembly,
skills refresher and a large shared equipment
area. The center will offer aerospace tec hnology
courses in: aerospace fundamentals, metal
structures; electrical assembly and installation;
mechanical assembly and installation;
composites fabrication and composites
assembly.
