Friday Saturday & Sunday 8th 9th 10th of June <strong>2018</strong><br />

HQ: BROWN COW PH, EDENFIELD ROAD, NORDEN, ROCHDALE<br />

Friday Night 8th June at 7.30pm<br />

(6 mile Hilly Road Race)<br />

START: Layby next to Bridge Inn P.H. Edenfield Road Norden<br />

FINISH: On Black Pitts Road Norden just past the Parish Church<br />

Car Park. 8pm till approx 8.45pm.<br />

ROUTE: Up Edenfield Road to junction with Ashworth Road then<br />

left down Ashworth Road up to the junction with School Lane.<br />

Left at School Lane then turn Right at the junction of School Lane<br />

Furnbarn Lane and Clay Lane. Follow Clay Lane until it meets with<br />

Bagslate Moor Road take a left down towards Moorland Ave. Turn left again down Moorland Ave,<br />

and then take a left once again onto Edenfield Road, back into the Village turning left down Black<br />

Pitts Road to finish at approx. 8.00pm<br />

Saturday 9th June at 11.00am (6 mile Multi-trail Race)<br />

START: Outside of Ashbourne Nursing Home rear of Co-op Store<br />

FINISH: On footpath in Jubilee Park rear of The Bridge chippy (approx. 11.35am till 12.15pm)<br />

ROUTE: Up the rough track leading up to Whittaker Moss School and passing the school on your<br />

right. Cross on estate road and then continue along Furnbarn Lane until it joins up with School<br />

Lane, run past “Scott House” on your right and the Stables/Cattery on your left, drop down to road<br />

bridge then take first Right half way up a short sharp hill, along the Bridleway that leads to<br />

“Paperhouse Mill” footbridge,( start of the 3 laps) continuepast the “Paperhouse footbridge”<br />

following the footpath that leads to a small footbridge over a stream, climb up through the trees<br />

exiting into a field that runs adjacent with a small river and ravine on your right, until it exits<br />

some 50 metres in front of the “Millcroft Tea Gardens”. Take a sharp right along a snicket that<br />

leads down to a steam and then climb up to what was the Edgerton Arms. Run between the old<br />

Edgerton Arms and St James Ashworth Church which leads onto a<br />

footpath that crosses 2 fields with 4 stiles on them ,then exit Left<br />

onto School Lane, follow School Lane for approx. 120 metres before<br />

turning left again along the Bridleway that leads back down<br />

to Paperhouse footbridge. After 3 laps of reaching the<br />

“Paperhouse footbridge”turn right and go over the bridge and<br />

straight up a narrow footpath that comes out next to what was<br />

once the “Three Owls Bird Sanctuary” on Hutchinson Road follow<br />

the road through the Park past the play area and finishing onwhat<br />

is now named Jubilee Park above The Bridge chippy.<br />
