Cup Day is almost upon us.
If heading to the track, a good
place to start is at The Pedal
Pusher. Enjoy a Champagne
breakfast then hop on their
organised shuttle to their
sister bar and restaurant in
Addington where you can
enjoy a tipple, before a short
stroll to the course.
For those not spending
the day at Addington, catch
the big race on the screens
at The Pedal Pusher, sharing
the excitement with others
while enjoying a refreshing
beverage. Get a group
together to watch the race,
lingering over food to share or a meal.
There are delicious choices on The Pedal
Pusher’s new summer menu.
Experience their mussel and smoked hoki
fritter served with water cress and aioli as
a small plate. For a main, a new feature is
their lamb salad created from lamb shoulder
that has braised for 12 hours. This is served
on toasted flat bread and comes with olives,
tomatoes, cucumber and feta mixed with
mint and yoghurt dressing. Another new
dish is the pan fried Salmon Nicoise - fresh
Akaroa salmon served with new seasoned
potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, kalamata
olives, boiled egg and rocket pesto. Both
dishes are gluten free. There are also fun yet
healthy children’s menu choices.
For a sweet treat, The Pedal Pusher’s
famous orange infused Brulee augmented
with orange and mint salad,
blood orange sorbet and
meringues will offer a little
devilment. Alternatively, try
a dessert cocktail such as the
Jaffalicious – a mix of Baileys,
Cointreau, Frangelico and
White Creme de Cacao.
“This cocktail tastes just like
Jaffas, taking you back to your
childhood,” says Madlen who
with husband Wayne Shaw,
own and operate The Pedal
Pusher restaurants and bars in
Rolleston and Addington.
You will find fresh daily
baking options (including
gluten free) so call by for their
coffee and huge muffin or scone deal, for just
$7.
The Pedal Pusher recently joined Uber
Eats. You can now order their delicious
food to be delivered to your door, simply by
downloading the app.
If stuck for Christmas present ideas, this is
easily sorted with a gift voucher for The Pedal
Pusher; order via their website.
This extremely well designed bar and
restaurant has areas for small or large groups,
televisions for watching
sport, and a children’s corner
with toys and their very own
television programmes. Call

and 6pm and you can relax
while listening to live music,
providing a great way to end
the weekend.
