Samantha-Jayne will be

Pear Tree Creperie, Heart
of the Country, on Friday,
June 29 from 7.30pm.
Samantha-Jayne is a self-taught saxophonist who only
plays ‘by ear’. She has toured the UK, Germany, and
Miami with local gospel bands. Samantha plays the
soprano, alto and tenor saxophones.
With the close resemblance of the saxophone to the
human voice, combined with Samantha-Jayne’s warm
sax tones and exceptional improvisational skills, her
performances are full of emotion and expression.
Samantha-Jayne doesn’t just play, she makes her
saxophones sing, as well as speak, to the listener.

Concerts in the Park are returning to Sutton Coldfield
this month, bringing a weekend of spectacular arts
and cultural activity to the beautiful outdoor setting of
Sutton Park. Enjoy world class music, brilliant family
entertainment and great food, with something on the
programme for everyone.
Arts organisations and local community groups will
contribute to the performance programme across both
days, and the event will be headlined by the world-class
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Listen
to a lively outdoor fiesta programme, from classic to
contemporary, Strauss waltzes to Bernstein. Concerts
in the Park will provide a high point of the summer in
Sutton Coldfield.
All shows are suitable for children, and there will be a
relaxed environment for youngsters to enjoy the music

Access Creative College presents Harmonious
Generations by Chris Eddowes, aka Pøgman, with
Whitehouse Common Primary School, Sutton Rock
Choir, Greville House Retirement Home and Shaggy
Dog Golf Club. Come and hear Sutton Coldfield as
you have never heard it before. Delve deep into the
diverse sounds of the area transformed into a musical
journey. Generations of Sutton working together to
bring the district to life in sound.
The concert in the park is part of major city-wide
music project for-Wards, creating new music inspired
by the second city. In just two years, for-Wards
has worked across 40 wards, 10 districts, with 10
composers and 40 community groups and will have
created 10 local performances premiering 10 new
