Bournemouth’s brand new Vodka and grill
bar RoomSix is offering customers a rare
treat of a dining experience, serving their
platters ‘Black Rock Style’.
The Black Rock is a small, square,
volcanic rock, superheated to a scorching
440 degrees and brought out to your table
for you to cook your choice of meat before
your expert eye. Perfect for all those
fed up of giving lengthy explanations
to the waiter about what the defi nition
blue means to you. The rock sears each
surface of the meat, sealing in the meat’s
unique fl avour and juices. Because no oil
or fat is added to the mix, the Black Rock
is actually a pretty healthy way to dine
out.
Mind you, if you’re looking for more
than just eats for a night out, RoomSix
is defi nitely one of Bournemouth’s top
pre-club bars, serving a variety of vodkas.

though, we’re talking the original infused

You’ll fi nd RoomSix opposite Bournemouth
and Poole College in Lansdowne, and
things you’ll fi nd there include DJs, drinks
promotions and full licensing until 5am.
The venue is the fi rst venture into bar
ownership for entrepreneurs Scott
Richards and Andy Kingston. Scott is aged
only 19, but has been in and around the
bar and club industry for as long as he can
remember. Scott’s previous experience
includes running bars in Portsmouth,
Southampton and Bournemouth. Andy,
25, can name Future 3000 and Dorset
brewers Hall and Woodhouse as previous
infl uences on his career so far.
