C A R E E R M A N A G E M E N T C E N T E R PHILIP JACOB AGM - Corporate Relations Philip passed out from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2001and has 23 years of experience. He started his career with the IT sector in 1995, and later on worked with Bajaj Allianz Life and Convergys. At IBS Bangalore he is primarily involved in planning and organizing campus drives, and corporate tie-ups – interfacing between institute and the industry. He involves himself in strategic interventions, for meeting desired industry expectations vis-à-vis student competencies for fresh hiring, through various initiatives. SWAGAT DAS Sr. Manager - Corporate Relations Swagat, an MBA graduate from KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar, has more than 14 years of extensive corporate experience in the areas of Business Development. He has worked in the capacity of a Business Consultant handling enterprise sales for strategic business units. His KRAs include strong networking skills, corporate communication, recruitment, training and key account management. SHUBHA ROHITH Manager - Corporate Relations Shubha, an engineering graduate from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, has over 9 years of work experience. Adept at screening, sourcing and preselection of candidates and campus relations during her stint in corporate career as part of the talent acquisition team, she has since then moved into handling placement activities with educational institutions. Having previously associated with R V Institute of Management & M.S. Ramaiah Institutions, she is adroit at implementing qualitative techniques to analyze the skills of candidates as per client requirement. PALLAVI (KALE) SRIVASTAVA Soft Skills Trainer Pallavi, a management graduate in HR and Marketing with Bachelors in Computer Science has over 10 years of rich corporate training, sales and customer service experience with various domestic and multinational companies. She has been a resource person for Management Development Programs (MDP) conducted at various b-schools. Currently, as a soft skills trainer, she handles trainings on interviewing techniques and placement readiness for the students at IBS Bangalore. 46

Manager -Corporate Relations Suresh, an MBA graduate from Anna University, Chennai, has 9 years of well crafted work experience in the education domain and 3 years in the corporate environment. He is a seasoned strategy-conscious and client-focused senior placement professional. Having worked with companies like Tata Teleservices, Arcadia, etc., he is keenly involved in mentoring, training, and counseling students for placements. Prior to IBS Bangalore, he was associated with the RVS Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, Tagore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Attur, and Nandha Engineering College in Erode. GIRISHA B.G. Backend Support A management graduate, passionate & dedicated, Girisha extends back-end support to the team for all placement related activities which involves maintaining the database of students, the placement management system, placement related documentation, and managing the logistics involving corporate visits at the campus, ensuring a seamless integration for the industry with the institute. CAMPUS PLACEMENTS 2018 STEPPING UP 125 companies participated in the placement process for the Class of 2018. Prominent names included Philips, Mott MacDonald, TCS, CGI, ICRA, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Federal Bank, Coffee Day Beverages, Sonata Software, Capital First, WNS, TATA AIG, Anarock, Religare Securities, Sterling Wilson, etc. The year marked the right symmetry; with renewed trust from regular recruiters & a spurt in the number of new recruiters who exhibited an interest in hiring talent from IBS Bangalore – opening up abundant opportunities for the students to choose companies of their choice from a wide spectrum of available options. The placement process started as early as in September 2017, with companies offering niche profiles at competitive packages. BFSI and IT / ITES continued to be the dominant sectors, contributing to almost 65% of the total offers. We also had a few interesting profiles from sectors such as e-commerce, Healthcare, and Real Estate. The other sectors that hired our students included Market Research, Consulting, Manufacturing, FMCG, Consumer Durables, Retail, & Microfinance. 47
