There’s no better way to see the spectacular sights along the Rhine than from the river itself
and on this leisurely cruise you can witness the countless treasures of four countries as we glide
through Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland. Along the way you can enjoy all the
amenities of our ship as we cruise between the sheer valley walls of the Rhine Gorge and across
the lush plains of the Alsace, before crossing the Swiss border where you can venture into
some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Our ship is never far away, so after a day of
exploring you can return to comfortable surrounds and relax as the crew take care of you – it’s
what river cruising is all about..
Day 1: UK – Amsterdam
We travel to Amsterdam, the vibrant capital of the
Netherlands, and enjoy a relaxing evening onboard
our ship.
Day 2: Amsterdam – Cologne
This morning you are free to explore Amsterdam.
Famous for its canal network, take a relaxing boat
trip to see the best views of the city. Visit one of
the many museums on offer including the Anne
Frank House or browse the vintage-themed shops.
We cast off this afternoon for Cologne.
Day 3: Cologne
Watch the scenery glide by as we cruise along to
the largest city on the Rhine, Cologne. You are
then free to enjoy the remainder of the day in this
beautiful city which is dominated by its huge
gothic cathedral.
Lucerne
Day 4: Cologne – Rüdesheim
Relax on the sun deck as we cruise along the Rhine,
which leads us through the spectacular Rhine
Gorge and past the legendary Lorelei. We stop at
the quaint wine town of Rüdesheim where you can
enjoy many highlights on our optional excursion,
including a cable car ride for panoramic views across
the Rhine valley. Join our evening optional excursion
visiting a traditional wine cellar to sample some of
the region’s delicious wine. Tonight we set sail for
Mannheim.
Day 5: Mannheim – Speyer
We arrive in Mannheim this morning and our
optional coach excursion departs this morning
visiting the majestic city of Heidelberg, home of
Germany’s oldest university. We board the ship on
the Rhine’s broader waters in Speyer. You are free
to explore this charming city. Our ship sets sail this
evening and cruises overnight towards Strasbourg.

Day 6: Strasbourg
This morning we arrive at the magnificent city
of Strasbourg, which is well known for its world ITALY
heritage status. Enjoy some free time to explore the
main sights or take a walk around the old city. You
can enjoy a fantastic optional excursion as we cruise
along Strasbourg’s waterways, which is a great way
to see the city. We set sail for Basel in the evening.
Day 7: Basel
A leisurely cruise through the Rhine Plain takes us
to the old university city of Basel. Enjoy free time
or join our included full day coach excursion which
takes you on a route that tunnels through the
Jura Mountains to the Swiss resort of Lucerne, the
historic and scenic heart of Switzerland. (A packed
lunch will be provided today).
Day 8: Basel – Overnight Hotel (Coach) /
UK (Air & Rail)
After breakfast we bid farewell to our captain and
crew, disembark our ship and travel by coach to
our overnight hotel, where dinner and breakfast
are included. Those travelling by air or rail will
commence the return journey back to the UK.
Day 9: Overnight Hotel – UK (Coach)
This morning we travel back to the UK.
