Day 1: UK – Cologne<br />
We travel to the vibrant city of Cologne and board<br />
our ship, where you can relax and enjoy the festive<br />
atmosphere.<br />
Day 2 Christmas Eve: Cologne – Düsseldorf<br />
Spend the morning at leisure or join our optional<br />
excursion for a guided tour of Cologne’s old town.<br />
Later we cruise to Düsseldorf, which is divided by<br />
the Rhine with the old town on one side and the<br />
modern city on the other. This evening we gather<br />
together for a Christmas Eve dinner, after which our<br />
Cruise Manager will accompany anyone who wants<br />
to attend midnight mass at the local church.<br />
Day 3 Christmas Day: Düsseldorf – Nijmegan<br />
Merry Christmas! This morning we cruise<br />
to Nijmegen which is the oldest city in the<br />
Netherlands and nestles on the banks of the Waal<br />
River. After a traditional British Christmas lunch, you<br />
are free to walk through the old town which takes<br />
you on a journey through time, starting from when<br />
the Romans first settled here.<br />
Day 4 Boxing Day: Nijmegan – Gorinchem<br />
Boxing Day takes us to the quaint Harbour town<br />
of Gorinchem. Here you are free to relax onboard<br />
MPS Lady Anne, or explore the harbour, the town’s<br />
square, the monumental building and church.<br />
Day 5: Gorichem – Willemstad<br />
This morning we cruise to Willemstad, known for<br />
its old town centre, with architecture buildings. Join<br />
our optional excursion to Antwerp which boasts of<br />
many attractions, including the second biggest port<br />
in Europe and an array of 16th-century architecture.<br />
Our guided tour is a great way to see the city<br />
highlights and there’s also the opportunity to visit<br />
Rubens House, where you can discover the life and<br />
work of this master painter.<br />
Day 6: Willemstad – Rotterdam<br />
We complete our cruise on arrival in Rotterdam, it’s<br />
known as ‘Manhattan on the Meuse’ because of its<br />
imp<strong>res</strong>sive skyline, which showcases cutting-edge<br />
architecture. Join our optional excursion to see<br />
some of the highlights: take a trip up the Euromast<br />
observation tower where you will have views as far<br />
as Antwerp on a clear day.<br />
Day 7: Rotterdam – UK<br />
This morning we bid farewell to our captain and crew<br />
and disembark for the return journey to the UK.<br />
