It’s not every day that you get to wander around the most beautiful spring gardens in the world<br />
before heading back to your floating hotel for an included evening meal – where else would you<br />
rather be? Cruise along the waterways of Holland and prepare to be in awe of the immaculate<br />
landscape; shimmering lakes, mature trees and wonderful works of art set amongst a sea of<br />
vibrant colour.<br />
Day 1: UK – Nijmegen<br />
We travel to Nijmegen, which nestles on the Waal<br />
river in the Netherlands, and settle aboard our ship.<br />
Day 2: Nijmegen – Dordrecht<br />
Spend the morning relaxing onboard as we cruise<br />
along Dutch waterways in the Rhine delta. Around<br />
midday we arrive in the city of Dordrecht, whose<br />
beautifully p<strong>res</strong>erved centre is filled with ancient<br />
buildings that huddle along a web of canals and<br />
harbours, you are free to explore at your own pace.<br />
Day 3: Dordrecht – Rotterdam – Schoonhoven<br />
We leave Dordrecht in the morning and continue<br />
along the Dutch waterways to reach Rotterdam.<br />
From here our included excursion takes you to<br />
Keukenhof Gardens, where you have plenty of<br />
time to explore the 32-hectare site and enjoy the<br />
swathes of f<strong>low</strong>ers, themed pavilions and wonderful<br />
atmosphere that surrounds this world-class<br />
event. We return to our ship in the ‘silver city’ of<br />
Schoonhoven, named after the silver trade that has<br />
taken place here since the 17th century, and enjoy<br />
the remainder of the day at leisure.<br />
Day 4: Schoonhoven – Amsterdam<br />
Enjoy another leisurely morning as we cruise along<br />
the Lek river and the Amsterdam-Rhine canal,<br />
before arriving in the fascinating city of Amsterdam.<br />
Explore the city’s canals, visit one of the many<br />
museums or vintage-themed shops. After dinner<br />
you can enjoy an optional candlelit canal cruise<br />
while enjoying cheese and wine.<br />
Day 5: Amsterdam – UK<br />
We bid farewell to our captain and crew after<br />
breakfast and set off on the return journey.<br />
