Rotterdam<br />
Day 1: UK – Arnhem<br />
We travel to Arnhem and board our ship for a<br />
relaxing evening.<br />
Day 2: Arnhem – Amsterdam<br />
Enjoy a leisurely morning as we cruise along the<br />
Lek river and the Amsterdam-Rhine canal, before<br />
arriving in the fascinating seasonally decorated city<br />
of Amsterdam. During December Amsterdam holds<br />
its ‘Light Festival’ and lights up with light sculptu<strong>res</strong>,<br />
projections and art installations along the roads,<br />
squa<strong>res</strong> and in the canals – you can join our optional<br />
walking tour to see all the main sights and the city<br />
in a feast of colours. The <strong>res</strong>t of the day is free for<br />
you to relax, explore and soak up the atmosphere<br />
at leisure.<br />
Day 3 New Year’s Eve: Amsterdam – Rotterdam<br />
Rotterdam is known as ‘Manhattan on the Meuse’<br />
because of its imp<strong>res</strong>sive skyline, which showcases<br />
Fireworks<br />
cutting-edge architecture. Join our optional<br />
excursion to enjoy some of the highlights: take a trip<br />
up the Euromast observation tower where you can<br />
see as far as Antwerp on a clear day. This evening<br />
we can enjoy our onboard New Years Eve party and<br />
watch the fireworks at midnight on Erasmus Bridge.<br />
Day 4 New Year’s Day: Rotterdam – Dordrecht<br />
Happy New Year! Relax on board as we sail to<br />
Dordrecht passing the village of Kinderdijk, which is<br />
renowned for its 19 beautifully p<strong>res</strong>erved windmills<br />
– the largest concentration in the Netherlands.<br />
We arrive in Dordrecht and enjoy an afternoon at<br />
leisure to explore the beautifully p<strong>res</strong>erved centre<br />
which is filled with ancient buildings that huddle<br />
along a web of canals and harbours.<br />
Day 5: Dordrecht – UK<br />
We bid farewell to our captain and crew after<br />
breakfast and set off on the return journey.<br />
