Arts ideas Arts skills and processes Arts responses Arts in society
• Develops ideas
to create images
based on a
particular theme.
• Uses shapes to
create a collage
image.
Lesson 2
times (eighths). Cut shapes from the
folded segment edges.
Open out the snowflake shape and glue
onto the coloured square background.
• Evaluates own
artwork and that of
others.
• Discusses the
different artwork
that can be created
at Christmas time
(e.g. cards, wrapping
paper).
• Use coloured paper in only cool colours to create the background, reinforcing knowledge
of cool colours or to support learning about the seasons (winter), climate or harsh
environments.
• Use tissue paper instead of origami paper to create a more ‘subtle’, softer background.
