Handover ceremony at the Ministry of<br />
Transport and Infrastructure<br />

In his speech in the handover<br />
ceremony in the Ministry,<br />
new Minister of Transport and<br />
Infrastructure, Cahit Turhan<br />
explained the Ministry’s big<br />
projects to facilitate the lives<br />
of citizens and to make them<br />
accessible and reachable during<br />
their daily lives, travels and<br />
communications.<br />
Turhan stated that the projects<br />
started by the former Prime<br />
Minister, Binali Yıldırım,<br />
during his term as the Minister<br />
of Transport, Maritime and<br />
Communications, and the works<br />
carried under the leadership of<br />
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan,<br />
are praiseworthy: “I have also<br />
served for 30 years in the General<br />
Directorate of Highways under<br />
this ministry. I have returned home<br />
after 2 years of separation. We will<br />
continue to provide better services<br />
for our country with our Ministry<br />
of Transport family.”<br />
Turhan emphasized that, in the<br />
words of President Erdoğan,<br />
“this job is a labor of passion,<br />
enthusiasm and love”, and they<br />
will create the foundation for the<br />
services in every field to prepare<br />
the country for the goals of<br />
2023, 2053, and 2071 set by the<br />
President.<br />

and more beneficial services for<br />
the nation and the country.”<br />

Arslan also stated that they have<br />

years during the terms of AKP<br />
Party governments regarding the<br />

from the transportation and<br />

Arslan emphasized that the<br />
investments made by the ministry<br />
in 16 years total 474 billion:<br />
“When taking over the office from<br />
Prime Minister Binali Erdoğan<br />
25.5 months ago, we had said that<br />
we will raise this flag higher by<br />

Grant Programmes Directorate<br />
TEYDEB 2.0, a new support<br />
system of the Scientific and<br />
Technological Research Council<br />
of Turkey (TUBITAK).<br />
“We will provide 1.2 billion liras<br />
(approx. $183 million) in three<br />
years for projects that will be<br />
implemented through TEYDEB’s<br />
project announced this year,”<br />
Varank said.
