This is the 17th year that the Highway<br />
Open Studio Art Tour has been offered.<br />
Communities along the Morongo Basin<br />
participate through the artists. This is a<br />
unique opportunity <strong>to</strong> visit directly with<br />
the artists in their work environment.<br />
This year there are 150 artists in 90<br />
locations of where the participants<br />
are located.. The range of art<br />
includes, drawing, painting, sculpture,<br />
pho<strong>to</strong>graphy, jewelry, metal arts, etc etc.<br />
There is a multitude of varied art that<br />
will be for sale and observation.<br />
Included in this article is a sample<br />
of the variety of art <strong>to</strong> be seen and<br />
appreciated in this event. The samples<br />
include various art creations by Scott<br />
Lloyd Doten, sculp<strong>to</strong>r, Paul Morehead,<br />
pho<strong>to</strong>grapher, Linda Schrader, painter,<br />
Paul Klopfesnstein, gourd art, and<br />
Geoffrey Fennell, scullp<strong>to</strong>r. These<br />
are just a sampling of over 150 artists<br />
featured.<br />
The Dates of the Open Studio Art Tours<br />
are <strong>Oct</strong>ober 13-14 and <strong>Oct</strong>ober 20-<br />
21. A program/catalog of the artists<br />
and locations is available at several<br />
locations in the Palm Springs and<br />
surrounding area. In Palm Springs<br />

they may be picked up at The Palm<br />
Springs Visi<strong>to</strong>rs Center, The <strong>Desert</strong> Art<br />
Center, and Crystal Fantasy. You may<br />

These are two weekends of unique<br />
