• Manufacturing Practices: All water used
during production is treated on-site before
disposal, removing all chemicals and
metals so only pure, clean water is
returned to the environment. The air they
take in is also purified and returned to the
environment cleaner than when it entered
the facility. Because Temkin uses recyclable
films, scrap material acquired during manufacturing
is repurposed for future uses,
and domestic manufacturing facilities help
reduce carbon emissions by eliminating
the need for overseas shipping.
As Danny’s son, Noam Temkin, explains,
“Temkin focuses on the impact of their
products over the entire life cycle from
design and manufacturing to consumer use
and disposal.”
To that end, Temkin uses controlled atmosphere
packaging where oxygen flow is
reduced to slow the respiration and aging
process, and moisture is retained and excess
CO2 is allowed to escape.
Among the packaging is an FDA-approved
standup zipper pouch that comes in a variety
of sizes and features high-barrier lamination,
a reseal-able zipper and self-supporting
bottom gusset. Custom options include laser
micro perforation, vent holes, hang holes,
tear notches, alternative bottom seals and
metallic film options.
Other packaging also offers multiple
options as well and includes wicketed bags,
gusseted bags, head bags, flat bags, plant and
herb sleeves, and rigid containers. Temkin
works to provide packing innovations,
including nearly invisible packaging, ultraclear
grape bags, and large food service bags.
In addition to packaging that is almost
infinitely adjustable, Temkin offers a creative
in-house team of designers as well as topof-the-industry
printing presses that offer
superior print quality for logos, UPC,
designs, or additional information.
Danny praises the Payson community
where he does business. “The Payson City
police department, fire department and
other business leaders have been extremely
nice to us,” he says. “They have been very
friendly and helpful regarding our business.”
And because he feels he has been so blessed
in his business, Danny is quick to be generous
to his community, both local and national.
He especially likes to donate to hard
working organizations and communities.

including the American Cancer Society, Utah
Symphony/Opera, City of Hope, United Way,
Cancer Recovery Foundation of America,
Children’s Miracle Network, Families for
Effective Autism Treatment, Women in Crisis,
Habilitat, JDFR (improving lives, curing
type 1 diabetes), Ronald McDonald House,
Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics,
Festival of Trees and Larger Than Life.
To say Danny Temkin gets wrapped up
in his business is absolutely correct. And
while others may use the cliché “It’s in the
bag” to describe success in their business,
Temkin can add, “It’s not only in the bag…
it is the bag.”
