Bishopton Christmas Tree Light Switch On
Sunday 2nd December
Bishopton Community Centre, Gledstane Road, Bishopton.
Bishopton Community Centre Association and Bishopton Parish Church have
once again organised the free Christmas tree light switch on ceremony and
community carol singing. The carol singing will be held indoors starting at
6.30pm. The Christmas tree light switch on ceremony will take place outdoors
in the Community Centre’s car park, adjacent to the Christmas tree. The carol
singers will include children and adults from community organisations. Song
sheets will be distributed for everyone else to join in. Refreshments available.
The Community Centre car park will be closed to allow the ceremony to take
place. It is recommended that motorists should leave their cars at home and
walk to the Centre. It is likely to be cold and those attending should wrap up
appropriately.
Lynne Hutchison, Chair of Bishopton Community Centre Association said,
“Bishopton Community Centre Association is delighted once again to be involved
in helping to organise this year’s Christmas tree light switch on ceremony.
The lights will be switched on by a local noteworthy person or persons. I am
anticipating that we will have a special seasonal guest making an appearance
too.”
The October Scottish Quiz was a fun
Simpson were challenging, and everyone
left with a lot more Scottish knowledge.
