Acoustic Truth
When I heard Acoustic Truth’s recent song ‘You Make Me Great’, I was once
again moved by their warm, harmonized voices. They fit together like a hand
and glove.
When Ryan and Sarah Lendy met at Chicago summer camp for children with
special needs, neither knew how significant they would become to each other
and how they would influence the lives of so many others through their music.
In 2011 these best friends wrote their first song together. After several years
and several life changes, their songwriting is stronger than ever. No longer
solely best friends, they are now husband and wife, and mother and father to
son Jeremiah.
The pair have always hoped their music would provide hope and inspiration to
others. Prior to the birth of their son the couple had been touring, playing for
audiences throughout the United States. Once Jeremiah was born, they took
some time to focus on their songwriting. They began playing more in their
church and moving towards outreach for Christ.
Initially their music while inspirational was mostly secular and they were not
sure how their established fans would take their transition into the realm of
contemporary Christian music. Thankfully though, their fans have been very
supportive and, through the transition, they have gained a tremendous
number of new fans. It seems people are finding their music, which focuses on
personal stories and daily struggles, to be a relatable and welcomed influence.
This choice has been a blessing to this talented team. It has opened the doors
to many new opportunities which are currently in the works. They have also
had the opportunity to team up with the Christian network, Gods 411. This
pairing has been a tremendous help in spreading their music with their latest
video reaching five million people in a matter of 28 days. They never imagined
that was possible. However, they continue to remain humble and stress that
for them it is about the music and about the people.
The future is looking positive for this uplifting couple with current talks in the
works surrounding their music and their songwriting. Hopefully, we will see
some big announcements from them soon.
