dumped mail<br />

ABOUT 100 pieces of mail have<br />
been found dumped in Rolleston.<br />
The mail was found on Elizabeth<br />
St on January 27.<br />
A spokeswoman for New Zealand<br />
Post says it is working with police<br />
and investigating the find.<br />
NZ Post said last week that it had<br />
collected the mail and would deliver<br />
them.<br />
“We apologise for this delay and<br />
any distress this may have caused,”<br />
the spokeswoman said.<br />
NZ Post was alerted to the public<br />
on social media by a woman who<br />
found the mail on Elizabeth St.<br />
Under the Postal Services Act<br />
1998, people who wilfully open mail<br />
not addressed to them can face up to<br />
six months in prison or a fine of up<br />
to $5000.<br />
