Innovation, innovation, innovation
As always, for many, Remanexpo was
not just a chance to meet with
customers and clients, but also an
opportunity to unveil or launch the new
products and services that companies
will be releasing throughout the
coming year.
Apex Microelectronics was unveiling
its brand new Duracor chip
technology, which Cindy Zhang
explained was “the first time anyone
had brought this technology to
cartridge chips,” and that many
customers were “very interested.”
CET Group, meanwhile, was in
Frankfurt displaying “a wide range of
Kyocera products,” with the company’s
Teresa declaring that the customer
“really liked this group of products.”
“We not only sell just one part, we
sell the series, so it’s very good for the
customer,” Teresa continued. “We have
also launched some new products, like
the HP fuser assemblies, which is a
very good product in the market, and is
a very popular one.”
Speed Infotech was using the trade
show as a chance to exhibit its
recently-launched line of refurbished
copier machines. The company’s CEO
Benjamin Young told The Recycler that
the new series was “receiving a lot of
interest.” Elsewhere in Hall 5.1, UKbased
ECS was publicising not just its
remanufactured products, but also its
collection programme, The Greener
Side, which Operations Director Adam
Lighton called “the largest collection
programme in the United Kingdom.”
“We’ve had a fantastic response,”
admitted Lighton, adding that the
interest in the company had been
boosted by its being crowned
Remanufacturer of the Year at The
Recycler Awards on the Sunday
evening (see page 35).
There was also a pleasing response to
Hubei Dinglong’s range, with Ian
Copsey explaining that “we’ve had a
number of new products, and those
have all been received well,” specifying
particularly that the company had
“had a lot of interest in some new
Brother and some new Konica that
we’ve got coming out.”
KMP was displaying a range of its
new products, including those for use
with the Canon PGI-580/CLI-581
XXL, and toners for use with the
Brother TN2410/2420, which
Marketing and Product Management
Team Leader said had received “a great
response, really good feedback”; CEO
Jan-Michael el certification, was also
very well received.”
Adele Berionni, the Head of Exports
at Ecoservice Di Santarelli Paolo,
revealed that her company had also
enjoyed a prosperous weekend with
regards to its new products. “We’ve
had several demands for products for
use with the Lexmark MS321,” she
said, adding it had been very popular
with customers, which she attributed
to it being “quite a cheap printer, and
so it’s become very popular in Europe.”
Berionni revealed the company was
only waiting on a chip before it could
release the cartridge, with a launch
date currently scheduled for the end of
March 2019.
“I think customers have found our
general range of new products really
interesting,” she added. “We have more
than 4,000 models in our catalogue,
ink, laser, and copier, so we can provide
our customer with as wide a range as
possible.” The Italian company’s other
new products included compatible
cartridges for Brother, Canon, Epson,
HP, and Kyocera machines, as well as
those for models from OEM brands
such as OKI, Ricoh, Sharp, Xerox,
Samsung and Panasonic.
