It’s been a busy season
for the Breeders Elite
studbook with plenty
of success in sport,
and some exciting new
stallions licenced and
approved.
This year saw the first Breeders Elite
registered competitor at the WBFSH
World Breeding Jumping Championships
for Young Horses in Lanaken, with
Warrior Queen and Chris Franks
representing Great Britain in the six
year old section. They were placed
in both qualifiers to make it into the
championship final, where 43 were
taken forward from an original 273, an
unlucky four faults just keeping them
out of the jump off to finish 23rd.
Warrior Queen was bred by Carl
Duggan and is by Warrior out of an
Unbelievable Darco mare, both stallions
having been produced by - and prolific
winners for - Brendon Stud. Jeremy
Bingham purchased Warrior Queen in
January of this year and the mare has
since been ridden by Chris. They have
had an excellent season leading to
Lanaken with results including placings
in the Winter Novice final and the
All England 1.30m Championship at
Hickstead, Le Touquet CSI1* Grand Prix
and 3rd place in the British Bred 6 Year
Old Final at Addington’s Young Horse
Championships.
The Hartpury Spectacular is growing
year on year and once again Breeders
Elite sponsored the young horse classes

The classes were very well contested
with a great atmosphere and
championship winners were Smirnoff
AP Silvio and Helen Rees (4 year olds),
Idodinus PP and Nicholas Edwards (5
year olds) and Billy Kiara and Josh
Hutchins (6 year olds).
