Waterfall of Manatantely
Situated 9km west of Fort-Dauphin,
the spot is quite simply beautiful,
as well as relaxing. The natural
pool at the foot of the waterfall is
greatly appreciated by swimmers.

a romantic getaway. The estate of
the Manatantely waterfall, actually
a private property of 80ha, is at the
heart of an area of primary rainforest
with pink peppercorn shrubs and
vanilla plants. In addition to its falls,

vegetation, its protected areas and its
lakes.
Chute de Mahafanina
A 83km au nord de Mahajanga se situe la « grotte
d’Anjohibe », un complexe naturel de grottes, de rivières
souterraines, de piscines naturelles, de chutes d’eau, sans
oublier la végétation et les espèces animales. La chute de
Mahafanina en fait partie, c’est une véritable oasis de paix
et de verdure. L’eau du lac d’Andranojoby se déverse dans
un ravin en une dénivellation de 20 mètres et forme la chute
de Mahafanina. Quand les rayons solaires éclairent les

Waterfall of Mahafanina
Eighty-three kilometres to the north of Mahajanga, are
the ‘Anjohibe caves’, a natural maze of caves, underground
rivers, natural pools and waterfalls, as well as lush
vegetation and wealth of animal life. The Mahafanina falls
are to be found here: a true oasis of peace and greenery. The
waters of lake Andranojoby flowing into a deep river bed
with a 20m drop form the Mahafanina waterfall. The sun’s
rays skimming the surface of the water create moments of
magic. A must for visitors to the region.
