Quand y aller? / When to go ?
Il y fait chaud toute l’année. Dès que l’envie
vous prendra, faites vos bagages et partez à
la découverte de ce bout de paradis. Avis aux
amateurs en quête d'un peu de fraîcheur : la
température connaît une légère baisse entre le
mois de juillet et le mois de septembre.
The region is hot all year round, so just pack
your bags whenever the fancy takes you and
go and discover this little corner of paradise.
For those who prefer cooler temperatures, it is
slightly less hot between July and September.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Par la route, prenez la RN6 et rendez vous à
Ambilobe. Le trajet durera environ deux jours
si vous voyagez en transport en commun. Puis
d’Ambilobe à Vohémar, préparez-vous à vivre une
aventure hors du commun. L’état de la route y
étant moins bon, c'est un véritable raid que vous
devrez expérimenter, sensation forte garantie. La
compagnie Air Madagascar dessert également la
région depuis Antananarivo.
To get there by road, take the RN6 to Ambilobe.
By public transport, it takes about two days.
Then from Ambilobe to Vohémar, the trip is
an extraordinary adventure. The state of the
road is not as good and the journey is a true
expedition, a real experience. The airline Air
Madagascar also proposes flights to the region
from Antananarivo.

Vous aurez largement le choix entre la Baie
d’Iharana, le Lagon Bleu, Ravinala ou Sol y Mar.
Vue sur la plage, les pieds dans l’eau, confort ou
simplicité : à vous de voir quel hôtel correspond le
mieux à vos envies.
There is no lack of places to stay. You will
have the choice between the Baie d’Iharana,
the Lagon Bleu, the Ravinala and Sol y Mar.
Whether you prefer a view of the sea, beachside
accommodation, comfort or simplicity: it is up
to you to decide which hotel corresponds best to
your tastes.
Où manger? / Where to eat?
Il est possible de se restaurer dans tous les
hôtels. Chez la Baie d’Iharana, vous pourrez
goûter à des mets typiquement malgaches ou
explorer les saveurs du monde entier : cuisine
créole, chinoise ou européenne.
All the hotels serve food. At the Baie d’Iharana,
you can order typical Madagascan specialities or
dishes from around the world: Creole, Chinese
or European cuisine.
Que voir? / What to see?
Le paysage même est déjà un véritable délice
pour les yeux. Mais sachez qu'à à peine quelques
kilomètres au sud de la ville, le lac sacré
d’Andranotsara est l’endroit idéal pour apprécier
le calme de Vohémar. La visite de Daraina, une
des aires protégées de la région de SAVA, sera
aussi une expérience des plus enrichissantes.
Vous pourrez trouver les légendaires pierres
précieuses et semi-précieuses à Ampanefena,
qui se situe juste à mi-chemin entre Sambava
et Vohémar. Et enfin, prenez le temps de vous
rendre au port de la ville pour une petite balade
en mer.
The landscape in itself is a true delight for the
eyes. However, just a few kilometres to the south
of the town, the sacred lake of Andranotsara
is the ideal spot to appreciate the peace and
quiet of Vohémar. A visit to Daraina, one of the
protected areas in the region of Sava, also offers
an extremely enriching experience. You will
find the legendary precious and semiprecious
stones at Ampanefena, which is situated halfway
between Sambava and Vohémar. Finally, set
aside some time to visit the harbour in the town
and take a short boat trip out to sea.
