IMAGE EXPO EDUCATORS BRIAUNA VERAS The Lash & Brow Society Esthetician | Lash Artist & Trainer | Microblading Artist | Operations Manager Briauna’s background in fine arts, architecture, and design have molded her into the highly detailed lash and brow artist she is today. Her keen eye and attention to detail fully allow her to develop unique creations customized to each of her clients personas. When she is not styling clients or training future artists, she is handling business’s back end operations and communications with product manufacturers, web designers, photographers, etc. She is dedicated to the growth and development of the brand and its employees and has been in the industry for almost 5 years. DEANNA BRYELS-FORD The Lash & Brow Society Esthetician | Lash Artist & Trainer | Microblading Artist & Trainer | Lead Training Instructor Craftsmanship is defined as the quality of design and work shown in something made by hand; artistry. Deanna’s passion for beauty and desire to instruct is inspired from the simple mathematics of beauty. Creating looks that enhance natural beauty leaving clients looking and feeling like the best version of themselves. As a instructor for 2 years, and artist of nearly 5 years, she devotes herself to the growth of new artist using precocious training methods and cutting edge tools. CASSANDRA POWELL Style Studio Cassandra Powell is a veteran and master stylist of over 22 years. Cassandra is a native of Columbus, Ohio who recently relocated to the Atlanta area to pursue her goals and dreams of working in Television and film. She is a licensed instructor/educator, a platform artist, author, and a salon owner of 9 years. Cassandra not only has a passion to educate and share information with other fellow industry professionals but she also believes in seeking and furthering her own education as well. Given her passion to learn and help others in the industry Cassandra has worked to bring much needed education to her hometown area hosting business beauty brunches, look and learn classes, as well as hands on classes. Cassandra founded and hosted her first beauty and barber expo “The Ohio Hair Symposium” and “The Ohio Barber” in 2016 and plans to host them annually in Ohio. Cassandra has obtained a Bachelors degree in General Business and a Masters degree in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Cassandra has been published in various magazines and have released her own magazine and first book titled “I Survived Beauty School, Now What?”. In the midst of all that she has going on and being a serial entrepreneur Cassandra is also the proud mother of 5 active children ranging in ages from 21 to 2 years old. Cassandra plans to not only become a recognized name but she as plans to continue to create and become the next trend setter in the beauty industry. CHRIS NOBLE HairCology Christopher Noble graduated from Mitchell’s Hair Academy in 2003 in Greenville NC. He is the owner and stylist of Hair Prophecy Int’l of Kinston NC since 2005, and has been a NC state board certified cosmetology instructor since 2010. Nobles continued his education in 2011 as becoming a certified Pivot Point instructor which granted him the abilities to teach advanced techniques of haircutting, color and styling. In 2006, Christopher founded a live cosmetology student hair battle which was designed to help build students self worth, portfolio, and start to brand their selves to the public. Since 2010, the show has expanded from just a live hair battle to an all day hair symposium which include educational classes on subject such as hair, barbering, makeup, color, and whatever the latest techniques and trends are within the industry of cosmetology. Proceeds from this event, raises funds towards a scholarship to send a high school senior to college, to pursue a career in cosmetology. As Nobles has always been a person that specializes in healthy elegant hair, he noticed that something wasn’t quite right with the hair products that he had always been trained to use simply because the hair would go through seasonal breakage, and dryness periods much too often. After discovering horrible information on what he had been using, HairCology Products was created by Mr. Nobles himself. Since 2009, Nobles has been traveling all across the US to educate people on the truth of healthy hair, alopecia, hair replacement, hands on hair cutting, hair coloring, business,and chemistry in general “taking students back to cosmetology school”. Nobles has been a featured educator at some of the top international hair and beauty shows such as Bronner Bros. “ATL, MD, TX”, Image Expo Beauty Expo, Proud Lady Beauty Show, and Premiere Beauty Shows just to name a few. DEJAUN WHITMORE Nail Swagg DeJaun Whitmore aka “Whitmo” is a licensed master nail technician with 12 years of experience, and resides in Memphis, TN. Whitmo is the owner Nail Swagg where he specializes in artistic designs, as he continues to build upon his brand and reputation of excellence. As a team leader Whitmo sets the tone for Nail Swagg’s unique and eclectic atmosphere as well as its success. Whitmo has been featured in several print and television media outlets, showcased by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2013, and is the recipient of the 2010 F.A.B (Fashion and Beauty Industry) Award. His accolades served as a catalyst for the opportunity to be mentored by some of the nation’s award winning nail educators. Since 2012 Whitmo enjoys teaching and inspiring others through his Nail Art 101 and The First 48: Solving The Nail Art Fears workshops. His standing room only classes have been hosted by Nail Tech in the Smokies, Bronner Brothers and the Chew Hair Show. Whitmo has built a reputation for his unique nail designs, unorthodox methods and natural ability to infuse his artistic talent. This notoriety has afforded him many experiences to travel and provide outstanding nail services across the country and abroad to include Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Whitmo’s warm and engaging personality makes him a favorite amongst his colleagues and diverse clientele. CHUCK CAPLE Chuck is a visionary leader in selecting and mastering simplified ways of teaching. He breaks down the theory and principles of hair cutting and hair coloring like no other. Under the tutelage of the late Olive Lee Benson of Boston, MA, Chuck has become a world leader in Roller Placement Education as well as cutting and color. He has consulted for Avlon Industries (makers of Affirm Haircare Products), as well as an honorary Instructor for Pivot Point Intl in the world headquarters in Chicago IL and consulted and trained for Proctor & Gamble in their Johannesburg, South Africa division to name a few. Chuck is also the author of several educational trade publications. DEREK MALDONADO Inspiring Champions Derek Anthony is a master hair designer of 17 years, owner of a profitable million-dollar salon in New York since 2012, as well as one of the most sought-after educators and speakers in our industry. Trained and skilled in his craft, Derek has educated across the country sharing what he loves. He has worked as top color educator for prestigious color companies including Goldwell and Pravana. Created his own in-salon apprentice training program and works closely with Nick Arrojo as a brand ambassador. Derek’s humble leadership and commitment to excellence is what continues to grow his salon exponentially year after year. From the opening of his salon in 2012 to 2018 he grew his salon service sales 278% and retail sales 218%.
