IMAGE EXPO EDUCATORS JEREMIAH SAMMONS Salon Spa Wholesale Serving his country in the U.S. Army as a linguist, Jeremiah Sammons never considered a career in the beauty industry. After losing his hearing to cancer, he began his journey into the beauty industry at the Aveda Institute in San Antonio, Texas with the intention of someday opening a small salon. That never happened. Instead, Jeremiah began writing for Modern Salon Magazine, developing educational programs for some of the most famous brands in the Beauty Industry, and dedicating the last 17 years of his life to education. KAY GREATHOUSE Hairlounge Salon Greathouse is the owner of the Hairlounge salon and has been a licensed cosmetologist for 8 years. She has worked and studied under some of the greatest educators in the beauty industry. Kay has become an educator at some of the most popular hairshows such as bronner bros. and premier birmingham. She has a passion for education and she loves to share it. LAKEISHIA MONTGOMERY Dr. LaKeishia Montgomery has dedicated over 25 years of Exceptional Customer Service and an extensive Educational background including a Cosmetology License, a Cosmetology Instructor’s License in the State of Texas and Louisiana, Trade & Industry Teaching Certification (grades 8-12), Certified through the International Institute of Trichology, Dudley University Training and the National Institution of Cosmetology. Lakeishia is one the few instructors in the State of Texas that has a passing rate of 100% for the Cosmetology State Board Test, which grew a great demand for her talents and skills. Through that demand, she was sought out and recruited to develop and design cosmetology programs in other surrounding areas. That’s when history was made, through Lakeishia’s tenacity & desire to grow an area that a passing rate of 0-5% and provide a Career of Choice that would change the life of someone and the change the community. Lakeishia made history by designing and implementing the largest cosmetology program in Mesquite, TX. She is the author of TEA & Statewide Instructional Resources curriculum written for CTE teachers for Stephen F. Austin University, Dallas ISD, Mesquite ISD, TDLR & Texas Workforce Solution. She currently is an instructor that stills own Class Act Salon & Barber Shop, own & operates Turning Point Hair Salon and Turning Point Professional Staffing and networks in the cosmetology industry to stay current with the growing trends. Presently, she provides mentoring programs and tutoring session for students needing help for the State Board Exam of Cosmetology and she is a licensed Continuing Educational Provider for Texas Department of Regulations and Licensing, which will assist licensed cosmetologist to renew their license. Not only does she give her time and energy in the salon and classroom but she pays it forward as well. She is known as the youngest President for the Dallas Beauticians’ Association and has put in countless hours giving back to the community bringing health awareness, job placement and providing other assistances to help those in the DFW area. LEVY Q. BARNES, JR. Q. Hair Regrowth Spray Dr. Levy Q. Barnes, Jr uses his creative ability to touch the world around him. He is the inventor of Q. Hair Regrowth Spray which is sold in hundreds of beauty supplies, pharmacies, health and wellness stores, salons, barber shops, and other retailers. He is a recording artist, author, prophet and preacher, inventor, educator, and humanitarian. He has used his musical gifts, leadership skills, and business endeavors to build and inspire the lives of others. He has been honored by the City of New Orleans City Council for peace efforts (2009), acknowledged for his community efforts in Port Arthur, TX (2016), awarded the Hurricane Harvey Heroes award (2017) Brown Impressions Appreciation Award (2017 and 2018), 40 Under 40 Professional Award (2018), and has been in the news and newspaper for his efforts to inspire and heal his community. Dr. Levy is from New Orleans, LA. He is a graduate of St. Augustine High School. He obtained his B.S. in Biology from Tennessee State University, and his masters and doctorate in Theology and Philosophy from California University of Theology. He is the CEO of Q. Products and Productions Company, and the inventor of the miracle hair product Q. Hair Regrowth Spray. He started the company himself and promoted his own product without the assistance of others. With his own efforts he has had his product sold in hundreds of pharmacies, beauty supply stores, health and wellness stores, and salons. He is also a humanitarian and has lead countless efforts to inspire and build multiple communities. He strives to spread the message of equality and peace to the public. In 2017 he ran for US Congress on the basis that, “We Can Rise Together”. He still spreads that message of hope to all. He also was a former Biology and Chemistry teacher for six years. That was where he found his passion with mentoring people. He is also the vice president of Bethel Bible College in New Orleans and director of Lashon Hakodesh Bible College. He is currently promoting his new music project, his miracle product, and his books. MYANH VO Christrio Myanh Vo has been a Christrio ESC for many years now. An expert in all Christrio things! Myanh periodically holds classes throughout the country showcasing and spreading her knowledge and skills. Nick’s innovative techniques have been featured in international forums & magazines. He was bestowed the honor of “Best Hair Colorist of Westchester County” in New York, by The Westchester Magazine. Awards and accolades aside, Nick’s distinction is his innate ability to fuse the inner and outer beauty by earning the trust and confidence of his audience. Nick’s other passions include music, art and writing. An accomplished pianist and singer since childhood. His artistry and passion is blended with everything he does. LIA HALL Pure Beauty Concepts, Itely Hairfashion & Metro Beauty Supply Born in Liverpool England, Lia grew up spending time in her mum’s hair salon where she gained beauty business experience. At the age of 19, she became Global Keratin’s darling & became a platform artist leading to an opportunity to create the brands image through photo shoots & NBC television appearances. Lia demonstrated how to create “MAD MEN” inspired hairstyles at home. That passion has grown into a 20 year career as a Hair Stylist. Imelda began working in salons in Houston, TX, only to learn very quickly that she wanted to expand into her own business. Opening L’Shear Salon in 2012, she continued her education and became a Certified Educator of Itely Hairfashion and Hair Talk Extensions. She has a strong social media presence with clients and peers as an excellent bilingual educator and hairstylist. She Graduated from Carousel Beauty College in 99’ at the top of her class. This has given her opportunities to work behind the scenes in local fashion shows and fundraisers to landing a position of being the Second Lead Hairstylist on a John Frieda social media campaign.
