Known as the ‘Nude Bowl’, this fabled<br />
spot has attracted skaters for<br />
decades, but it’s not easy to find.<br />
<strong>The</strong> empty swimming pool is the last<br />
remnant of a former nudist colony<br />
on the outskirts of Palm Springs,<br />
and photographer Dan Krauss had<br />
to do some sleuthing to pin it down.<br />
“I scoured Google Earth to find it,<br />
based on some vague directions<br />
I’d found online,” he says. Krauss<br />
convinced pro skater Ryan Decenzo<br />
to accompany him to the site, and<br />
the photographer spent a day<br />
shooting Decenzo as he practised<br />
nailing the grind over the deathbox.<br />
