Venous flow through flaps are defined as composite
flaps of skin and subcutaneous vein that uses the subcutaneous
venous system for the nutrient support. The
inflow can be arterial blood or venous blood. The outflow
can be artery or vein.

203 Microsurgical Salvage of the Chronic Wound
Chronic venous ulcer disease remains a highly prevalent
condition for which no medical or surgical solution
has resulted in definitive cure without a high prevalence
for recurrence. The purpose of this instructional course
is to review our experience in the rationale, technical
performance and the results of microvascular flap
treatment of chronic venous ulcer disease and lower
extremity chronic osteomyelitis. Details of wide subfascial
excision of ulcer, or wounds, bony debridement
resection and grafting and details of post-operative
care, patient and flap selection for surgery will be discussed
in detail.

in autogenous breast reconstruction and when to use
Free Tram, DIEP and SIEA flaps for reliable results. The
