ENTERTAINING
AT ITS BEST
Entertaining should most definitely not be a chore and with the help of Mareliz Pretorius Vereecke
and her team at Armar Catering and Event planning, a wedding is as easy as pie.
When it comes to seriously good food,
there is a lot to be learned from Mareliz
Pretorius Vereecke. She is a whiz in the
kitchen, can whip up food for hundreds
of people whithout batting an eye
and has the perfect venue to help
make your dream wedding even more
special. Yes, she can basically do it all.
“I have always been interested in the
hospitality industry and worked around
the country as a food and beverage
manager for an international hotel
group. After I got married I decided to
change my career and went full-time
into catering,” Mareliz explains.
Armar catering was born and since the
inception the team expanded and the
company is now offering a full catering,
hospitality and event planning service.
Pretty impressive, even if we have to
say so ourselves.
The cullinary magic takes place at
Armar’s state-of-the-art kitchens in
Pretoria North but Mareliz also aquired
a portion of a 210 hectare conservancy
property a few years ago within the
greater Dinokeng Big 5 Reserve where
Armar House opened its doors.
The house is the perfect escape from
the hustle and bustle of city life and to
experience the African Bushveld.
It’s easily accessbile from Pretoria
and Johannesburg and the property
even allows a unique game viewing
experience on foot or by 4x4. The
walking trails guarantee that you’ll
see game from close-by, which makes
for the most amazing photos.
Sightings will most likely include
giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, impala,
kudu and blesbuck.
As it shares a 2km border fence with
the Dinokeng Big 5 Reserve quite a few
