COLOURFUL WILD BEASTS ROAM
UCKFIELD HIGH STREET
A menagerie of imaginative beasts led the
annual school children’s parade as Uckfield
Festival celebrated its twentieth year. The
theme of the parade was Folk Tales. Holy
Cross School carried a cheetah and all the
children held zulu shields to illustrate the
story of the Lazy Hunter. Schools from the
town and villages took part and carried giant
parrots, a magic hummingbird, an armadillo,
a zebra -and many others, all made by the
children with help from Same Sky carnival
organisers.
