With a new website to enhance<br />
community outreach and make<br />
taking bookings easier (supported by<br />
Sam Thurley), the hall relies on the<br />
local community, from support for<br />
the planning phase to attending the<br />
community fundraising events, with<br />
over 1000 people attending the family<br />
friendly fireworks.<br />
DEVELOPING THE HALL<br />
20<strong>19</strong>/20 will be an exciting time<br />
for Ridgewood Village Hall and an<br />
opportunity to develop the only<br />
community facility in the southern<br />
end of <strong>Uckfield</strong>. It’s a chance for the<br />
entire community to pull together<br />
to fulfil the potential at Ridgewood<br />
Village Hall.<br />
There are three modernisation plans<br />
in progress, which will be funded<br />
from the community events, support<br />
from local council and businesses,<br />
and external grants. These phases are<br />
A: Refurbish the Village Hall<br />
B: Wild garden and Carpark<br />
C: Extension to the East Side of the<br />
Village Hall<br />
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED<br />
30 October is the Ridgewood Village<br />
Hall will be the Annual General<br />
Meeting. All residents are invited to<br />
attend this and new supporters and<br />
volunteers are welcome to join the<br />
committee.<br />
Come along with your family to one of<br />
the wonderful Community events held<br />
at the hall raising funds to support<br />
this fantastic part of <strong>Uckfield</strong>.<br />
If you have some spare time, the<br />
committee are always looking for<br />
volunteers - this can be an hour of<br />
your time or even several hours a<br />
week, helping at the events or behind<br />
the scenes throughout the year - it all<br />
helps.<br />
Above all, the main message from the<br />
committee is for the local community<br />
to use the hall and enjoy all that is has<br />
to offer.<br />
20<strong>19</strong> COMMITTEE<br />
The current committee consists of<br />
volunteers, all donating time to improve<br />
the hall, raise funds and keep the<br />
Ridgewood residents engaged in a valuable<br />
community asset. Our 20<strong>19</strong> Committee is:<br />

The committee is supported by Sam<br />
Thurley of SJT who provided a brand new<br />
website and continues to provide free<br />
support for it and Derek Ranns ,Caretaker<br />
