in on my awesome pre loved purchases.
Life isnt plain sailing, and sometimes
saving money in the right places also has
a a positive secondary and sometimes
unintentional effect to our environment,
local area and untlimately, to our planet.
The look of absolute delight covering my
4 year olds entire face when she opened
the Toy Story preloved toys was followed
5 months later with a shriek of "mummy
come quick there's something wrong with
Woody". Tears in her eyes, she pulls his
cord and instead of hearing, ‘you’re my
favourite deputy’ or ‘theres a snake in my
boot’ Woody made a pained sound like he
had a hernia. The cord was well a truly
stuck,. Woody was presented to daddy's
"fix it shop" in the hope he could get him
talking again.
Every finger in the house was crossed that
Woody just needed new batteries….
Sadly it wasn’t to be and after several
hours of time with daddy’s screw driver we
accepted that Woody was now mute. My
daughter calmly told Woody she still loved
him even if he couldn’t talk.
SPOILER AHEAD !! - STOP READING IF
YOU HAVEN'T SEEN TOY STORY 4
Leap ahead to July 2019, where the
culmination of the fourth Toy Story film
leads to the revelation that Woody gives
up his voicebox to help his friend, and
inadvertantly we have the new 'Toy Story
4 Woody' and what was a broken toy has
once again been recyled this time purely
by accident. Or was it ??
Some might say another happy ending,
after all one man's trash is another man's
treasure.
