Centurion of
the year!
The winners of the third edition of the Centurion Of The Year
Awards were announced at a lavish function at Centurion Hotel.
Marius Bester from hospice, Masemola Christina Matawane
manager at the SPCA and Colonel Jos Botes of the SAPS Police
were the three winners of this year’s award.
The awards were born from the need to acknowledge individuals
in the community who through their actions make Centurion
better, said organiser Michelle van Zyl. Each year the three
recipients receive a unique award created by a local resident.
“The reason we use different awards every year is because we pick
an award that is symbolic to the receivers of the year. This year we
selected a succulent garden-hardy, resilient, and the ability to get
the job done with little resources,” Michelle adds. Each year the
three recipients receive a unique award created by a local resident.
