Getting Back in the Saddle

So my new
normal
after my four
month post open heart surgery has
changed. Thankfully my only major
lingering effect is regaining my full sense of stamina.
Slowly but surely I am getting back to 100 percent. I’ve started cardio
rehab and go to the rehab center three times a week for the next three
months. This rehab routine of tread mills, ellipticals, stationary bikes
and the like is just wonderful.
However, it still is a process and I do get tired towards the end of the
day and sleeping is a minor issue as I still have some discomfort in my
ribs and chest where the surgery occurred. My music and headphones
is a big help in calming things down in the evening.
Now that you know more than you ever need to know about my
recovery, I will tell you why I’m telling you this. I have had a lot of time
to think and to plan the next phase in our Vegas Voyagers upcoming
trips.
We, of course, will continue to provide our “Bus to the Boat” schedule.
Our next trips being December 4-19 on the Star Princess to Hawaii, and
January 25-February 1, 2020 on the brand new Carnival Panorama to
the Mexican Riviera with Bruce Ewing and Philip Fortenberry. We still
have space on both of these fantastic cruises.
Starting next month, we are hoping to announce some new ideas
about cruising. Don’t get me wrong - I love the big mega ships of
Princess and Carnival Cruise Lines, but as I get older, the hustle and
bustle of these ships can be overwhelming.
With this in mind, it’s time to feature smaller “destination-oriented
vessels.” How about ships that hold no more than 350 passengers?
