Decorate and celebrate
On the hunt for Christmas table décor ideas? Elsa de Wit, buyer for Grandiflora,
shared the latest trends and tips to help you plan your Christmas table.
While we’re still at work,
it’s hard to think about
the upcoming Christmas
holidays, but the truth is
it is just over eight weeks
away. “I attended the
world renowned Frankfurt
Christmas Expo earlier this
year to familiarize myself with
this year’s Christmas trends
and colours and hot off the
press…is the colour pink in
all shades with a touch of
purple. If these colours won’t
work I recommend you go
for the Tiffany look adding a touch of antique gold with
the mint to give you a warm and classic style. If you feel
this contemporary style isn’t for you rather choose the
old, traditional style choosing bottle green, dark reds and
accessorise with golds and silver and a touch of white. For
a more formal look and feel – combine your antique gold
and black.”
Decorating your tree
Elsa suggests using a combination of different colours and
textures with a little of glitter to give you the festive feel.
Faux birds are also trending this year. For a whimsical style
you could add fairies and elves.
