But I was programing the first search engine, working with science and data regulators like Experian and the FDA, This helped us navigate and explain the future to our readers and our advertisers. Building regulation compliance is now the future and we are in print and on line. To stay. Because we made the changes necessary to survive a changing world. But our biggest contribution can be seen in our numbers, with 6k average readers per month and we continue weekly sell out of our print version. Yes, we put some hot asses into great seats but we also protect those asses and their seats by keeping our prices reasonable. And that helps us grow as a community because people grasps for stars when they are on stable footing. Now there is a place they can still call when the others stop listening. Not just the DDG, but all the spokes in the wheel of gay life, love, and entertainment. My goal, as many know, was always covering daily LGBT life from cradle to grave. Lots of people will laugh this off, but it's a fact and I can prove it here. Fighting Oppression: One cannot judge the damage of oppression by the bad actions of the oppressed. This resides solely on the oppressors. The oppressor may be acting for fun but the oppressed are acting for their existence. Back in the day, gays worried often of being victimized by a gay bashing or outing. Even its conviction could be based on suspicion, as we all know its punishment was swift and cruel. Gays, like other minorities, were so terrified of it they would rather be beaten to death than outed. But then a miracle happened. We became a protected class because we got a voice. That voice came only from the LGBT community. Mental Health: We have many types, from the extraordinarily damaged, some enormously gifted but most with a sense of equality thats is gifted automatically. Many white or affluent are able to help themselves freely to earth's bounty. But unlike the others, we extended to all people rich or poor, those with a booming voice or those with a quiet touch. From those who like a quite bar, to the ones that enjoy the sexuality of a charged night of sexual freedom or want to dress their own way. HUMAN FUCKING RIGHTS: In my opinion, this is the last frontier to be conquered. The question of our very democracy is in play in this election. We are a nation divided and on the verge of civil war. One side armed and sufficiently delusional to think violence is a viable solution. It is grown to its highest level since the civil war, but we have been here many times since. Human Rights is really the heart of the issues. We cannot continue to have the life we want if we turn our backs on those in need. What makes it more scary is that this is the first time in the history of man that the oppressed has a nearly equal voice. We are just beginning to see that and we have the right tools to break the yoke of oppression. The UN;s meesage this year was a warning and a call for more justice. The current administration has put justice and rights into a slave auction. They no longer have our back, just a body of scolder's, but seeking our help to give them the power to help us. Secretary-General António Guterres said in his New Year’s message that “we cannot afford to be the generation that fiddled while the planet burned”. But “there is also hope”, he continued, paying tribute to the power of youth around the planet. The United Nations stands with you, and belongs to you – UN Secretary-General “From climate action to gender equality to social justice and human rights, your generation is on the front-lines and in the headlines”, he said. “I am inspired by your passion and determination”. Noting that young people are “rightly demanding a role in shaping the future”, he said: “I am with you”. “The United Nations stands with you – and belongs to you” spelled out the Secretary- General.
