War Memorial Hospital Future
The Parish Council and The Hospital
League of Friends are continuing to work
closely with the NHS West Hampshire
Clinical Commissioning Group since the
joint public meeting in the Community
Centre on 19 August 2019.
reaching agreement as to the type of
building needed to provide these services
at the site.
Planning permission for the proposed
design must be approved by NFDC and
then the business case must be approved
by the NHS in order to release the finance.
We hope to learn more about the progress
of negotiations in Spring 2020 and look
forward to sharing consultation meetings
in the near future.
Sea Road Toilets
The new-build Sea Road toilets are nearing
completion on time. The new block will
have a “changing places” fully-accessible
disabled cubicle as well as 2 family cubicles
and 4 unisex toilets and will be a big
improvement to the previous facilities.
The Hospital Building - a registered War
Memorial - is owned and maintained by
NHS Property Services. Clinical Services to
patients in the hospital are provided by
Southern Health Foundation Trust, while
other services including the pharmacy,
audiology, ear clinic, renal services and
exercise groups are arranged by other
service providers. All of these
organisations as well as users of the
services are Stakeholders in the future of
the Hospital as is the Royal British Legion
and The War Memorial Trust.
Agreement must be reached and
consultation undertaken with people in the
Parish regarding the services that must be
provided to our community before

All meetings are in the Village Hall, Park
Lane at 6.30pm. Agendas will be available
from the website 5 working days in
advance. Members of the public can speak
for 3 minutes about agenda items.
