CRIME PREVENTION TIPS FROM YOUR LOCAL POLICE FORCE

The Bamford and Norden

burglaries whereby

unknown Offenders have

specifically targeted

unoccupied properties

primarily during the

evening. In the majority of

incidents the properties

have been accessed via

• Ensure all sheds and garages

are locked

on at night and when you go

out.

• Utilise light timers or leave

lights on when you go out in

the evening.

• Inform neighbours if you’re

going out for long periods on

holiday.

• Ensure items of value are

kept in a safe place.

• Be vigilant to any suspicious

activity.

• Consider setting up a Home

Watch Scheme or WhatsApp

group.

KEY INFORMATION

With winter upon us, it’s that time of year where we need to

remind residents to stay with their vehicles whilst defrosting

them. Opportunist thieves will only take a second to gain

entry and drive away with your vehicle if it is left unattended

with the keys in the ignition.

Dark Nights Campaign 2020

Don’t forget to light up your house this winter and keep burglars well and

truly out in the dark #alarmlockslights

Make sure you leave your lights on to keep burglars out #alarmlockslights
