POSITIONS<br />

We provide services for more than 800,000 people<br />

across an area of approximately 2,800 square<br />

kilometres.<br />

REASONS TO APPLY<br />

Eastern Health is well known as a friendly and<br />

supportive place to work. The Health Service has a<br />

high quality postgraduate medical education program<br />

and is committed to providing a great learning<br />

experience for all of its Interns and HMOs.<br />

At Eastern Health, there are weekly tutorials, seminars,<br />

case meetings, and Grand Rounds. There is also<br />

desktop access to the Clinicians’ Health Channel,<br />

internet, and an online library service.<br />

Every intern and HMO is provided with a comprehensive<br />

orientation program at the beginning of the year and a<br />

modified orientation program at the beginning of each<br />

rotation. Eastern Health’s Hospitals are also teaching<br />

hospitals for Monash and Deakin Universities.<br />

ROTATIONS AVAILABLE<br />

All acute sites provide rotations in General Medicine,<br />

General Surgery and Emergency Medicine. Other<br />

rotations include Eastern Epworth, Bairnsdale<br />

Regional Health Service, Aged Care (AH) Urology<br />

(BH), Renal (BH), Orthopaedics (BH), Psychiatry and<br />

medical night cover.<br />

BASIC INFORMATION<br />

Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest<br />

metropolitan health services. We provide a range<br />

of Emergency, Medical, Surgical, Mental Health and<br />

Women’s and Children’s services to Melbourne’s<br />
