AROUND THE INDUSTRY ASIA HYB Toner, Distributor, Malaysia HYB adds distributor in Malaysia EUROPE Armor Office Printing, EcoVadis, Gold Label HK HaoYinBao Group (HYB) has announced the latest addition to the HYB family, a new distributor in Malaysia for its HYB TONER brand. HK HaoYinBao Group announced their official new distributor for the territory of Malaysia is EDS OFFICE SUPPLY (EDS) for their HYB TONER brand. EDS is an established company operating in their own premises located at Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Kuala Lumpur. The total number of staffs is more than a hundred, which covers sales, distribution, service and technical supports in the territory. HYB said: “EDS has emerged as one of the market leader and reputable copier solutions and IT support provider to over 3,000 satisfied customers and continue to grow at an encouraging rate which reflects the level of confidence customers EUROPE Biuromax, New Hire, Business have on our products and services.” HYB was established in 1998 in Zhuhai, China. With 22 years of development and accumulation, it has become a leading professional and well-known manufacturer of Copier consumables in the global market. HYB commented: “The “marriage” of EDS and HYB has proven that quality oriented distributors will eventually work with quality oriented manufacturers to continue their fulfilment of provision on products and service.” ■ Chris Rouse joins Biuromax Biuromax announced that Chris Rouse has joined its team as Key Account Manager Europe. Rouse joins the Polish supplies company with over 20 years’ experience within the industry. Firstly, with the AQC Group as Production Manager and then as the Technical Manager. In 2016 Rouse was appointed as the General Manager for Jadi UK. Rouse will add to the Biuromax team’s 30 years’ experience distributing original and alternative consumables for copiers, printers and multifunctional devices, as well as, raw materials and components for the remanufacturing of laser and ink cartridges. Biuromax, excited about this new appointment, said: “We hope that his extensive experience gained during many years of work in our industry will open new possibilities for us. Chris's product know-how is invaluable substantive support, and good manners and sales skills are a recipe for success. We wish Chris a special time with us.” ■ ▲ Chris Rouse Key Account Manager Europe, Biuromax Armor obtains the GOLD EcoVadis label The company announced that after an advanced study and analysis of its CSR practices, Armor Office Printing was awarded gold label 2020 by EcoVadis. Announcing the achievement on its blog, Armor Office Printing explained that there were several reasons for Armor to be evaluated. “For several years now, Armor has been involved in many CSR actions. The EcoVadis label provides transparency, certifies commitments and proves that these concrete actions have a positive impact for social and environmental responsibility. CSR performance is now recognised and valued,” Armor explained. EcoVadis is an independent, trusted and collaborative platform which assesses companies’ policies and actions as well as their published reporting related to the environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. EcoVadis’ CSR assessment method covers more than 198 procurement categories, 155 countries and 21 CSR indicators. More than 55,000 companies work with EcoVadis to reduce risk, stimulate innovation and build transparency and trust between trading partners. Armor added that the assessment criteria were based on leading standards, such as GRI, UNGC and ISO 26 000. visit www.therecycler.com for all the breaking news EUROPE Pelikan, Print Rite, Cartridge World France, Alliance, Partnership PRPS reorganises operations and announces alliance with Cartridge World France Following the closure of its Paris office, customers in the region will now be served directly from Print Rite Pelikan Solutions (PRPS) European mainland regional office located in Hanover, Germany and from the central Head Quarters location based in Nottingham, United Kingdom. From these locations, Print Rite Pelikan continues to serve customers throughout Europe and beyond. In 2019 PRPS opened a new distribution hub in Katwijk Holland, and has also invested to enhance its SAP operating system to fully support the company’s multilingual web sites and webshops for all their European customers and authorised distributors. PRPS added that customers in France will be contacted individually and informed of new contact details and order placement processes. In 2017 The Print Rite Group acquired a 30- year license for use of the Pelikan Brand for printing consumables. Shortly after the reorganisation announcement, Cartridge World France was announced as authorised non-exclusive distributor for the Pelikan and Print Rite print consumable brands. Print Rite Pelikan Solutions GmbH and Print Rite Europe Limited announced a formal alliance with Cartridge World France SARL and appointed them as an authorised non-exclusive distributor in French speaking regions. This will provide local sales and marketing support for dealers and resellers now following closure of the local Pelikan office in Paris recently. Steve Weedon commented on the new partnership: “I am very happy to have come to a new arrangement with Cartridge World France quickly, that enables us to continue providing the products and services to customers in the region.” “The Pelikan brand offers a new and different approach where Dealers can increase their average selling prices, make more cash profit and get rewarded with all kinds of bonuses, rebates and of course, Pelikan Points as they grow. This is what the OEMs do and it works. That will be the approach for Pelikan and honestly, that’s what’s getting the industry excited” Weedon added: “Partnering with Cartridge World France SARL makes a lot of sense for both parties.” Further commenting “Our distribution centre in the Netherlands will be able to get products to those franchisees quickly and this whole arrangement will be of benefit to them as well as the other dealers and resellers in France who we want to work with.” Paul Callow, Director General, Cartridge World France SARL commented: “We are very pleased with this agreement. PrintRite is well known for high quality products and now by being part of the same family we will be able to work together to benefit our core business which is supporting and growing our network of franchisees. The Pelikan range is important in France and their new biobased products.” and added further “The set up at Cartridge World France head office is perfectly designed to support and supply dealers in France who are looking for high quality new build and remanufactured products, so this partnership is a win-win for all concerned.” ■ Issue 333 August 2020 29
