ECS introduces
‘engineer’s
safety’ range
The remanufacturer and collector
of the year has taken swift action
by extending their product range
to include an ‘engineer’s safety’
section in order to meet the new
and changing demands of the
industry.
As many businesses begin to return
to work across the UK and around
the world, they are now adopting
COVID-19 working measures which
include the use of specific safety
equipment such as sanitisers, cleaning
wipes, facemasks and gloves.
ECS now supply all of those, as well as
much more, including an 80% alcoholbased
sanitiser which is recommended by
the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Director Chris Fink said: “With
businesses slowly opening over the
next few months we anticipate that our
industry and many others will require
various items of PPE in order to function
and protect their employees. Our new
range of products will help to meet these
demands so that the remanufacturing
and print industry can return to some
kind of normality.”
The remanufacturer also supplies
various kits specifically designed for field
engineers to meet COVID-19 working
requirements and to promote a safe
working environment during the current
pandemic. ■

Apex announces latest
‘first-to-market’ chips
The company has announced replacement chips for use with Samsung
MLT-K250 series cartridges and replacement chips for use with Kyocera TK-
4148/4158/4168 series cartridges.
In April 2020, Samsung released the
A4 mono laser printer M2630/M2680/
M2840/M2890 series in South Korea,
which is mainly used for small and
medium-sized working groups.
Apex says its latest released replacement
chip is “first-to-market”, comes with
“consistent performance” and is “easy to
install in recycled cartridges”.
These replacement chips are for use in
Samsung SL-M2630/M2630ND, Samsung
SL-M2680N/M2680FN, Samsung
SL-M2843DW/2893FW, Samsung
SL-M2890FW/M2890FW(GOV) and
Samsung SL-M2840ND/M2840DW/
M2840DW(GOV) devices. The chips
ASIA HYB, Cartridges, New Products
come in two versions, a page yield of 1,500
or 2,000.
In May 2020, Kyocera released the
TASKalfa 2020/2220/2320/2021/
2221/2321 series of monochrome
multifunction printers in China, which
is the updated version to its TASKalfa
2010/2210/2011/2211 series. This series is
equipped with standard network printing
function and expandable fax function.
It is suitable for small and medium-sized
working groups with less than ten people
and an average monthly print volume of
about 4000 pages.
Apex’s latest solution is for use in Kyocera
TASKalfa 2020/2021, Kyocera TASKalfa
2220/2221 and Kyocera TASKalfa
2320/2321 devices. ■

HYB announces latest new products
HYB Toner has introduced new compatible cartridges for use in
Ricoh machines.
The latest products launched by
HYB Toner, are a CMYK set for use
in RICOH M C2001 devices. These
new cartridge solutions come with an
estimated page yield of 18,000 for the
black cartridges and 15,000 for the colour
cartridges.
The company added that more products
are in the approval process and will be
released in the next two weeks. ■
