PRODUCTS & TECHNOLOGY EUROPE ECS, New Products, Safety Products, Engineers, COVID-19 ASIA Apex, Chips, Remanufacturing ECS introduces ‘engineer’s safety’ range The remanufacturer and collector of the year has taken swift action by extending their product range to include an ‘engineer’s safety’ section in order to meet the new and changing demands of the industry. As many businesses begin to return to work across the UK and around the world, they are now adopting COVID-19 working measures which include the use of specific safety equipment such as sanitisers, cleaning wipes, facemasks and gloves. ECS now supply all of those, as well as much more, including an 80% alcoholbased sanitiser which is recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Director Chris Fink said: “With businesses slowly opening over the next few months we anticipate that our industry and many others will require various items of PPE in order to function and protect their employees. Our new range of products will help to meet these demands so that the remanufacturing and print industry can return to some kind of normality.” The remanufacturer also supplies various kits specifically designed for field engineers to meet COVID-19 working requirements and to promote a safe working environment during the current pandemic. ■ To view these products, see the dedicated web pages by scanning the QR code here: Apex announces latest ‘first-to-market’ chips The company has announced replacement chips for use with Samsung MLT-K250 series cartridges and replacement chips for use with Kyocera TK- 4148/4158/4168 series cartridges. In April 2020, Samsung released the A4 mono laser printer M2630/M2680/ M2840/M2890 series in South Korea, which is mainly used for small and medium-sized working groups. Apex says its latest released replacement chip is “first-to-market”, comes with “consistent performance” and is “easy to install in recycled cartridges”. These replacement chips are for use in Samsung SL-M2630/M2630ND, Samsung SL-M2680N/M2680FN, Samsung SL-M2843DW/2893FW, Samsung SL-M2890FW/M2890FW(GOV) and Samsung SL-M2840ND/M2840DW/ M2840DW(GOV) devices. The chips ASIA HYB, Cartridges, New Products come in two versions, a page yield of 1,500 or 2,000. In May 2020, Kyocera released the TASKalfa 2020/2220/2320/2021/ 2221/2321 series of monochrome multifunction printers in China, which is the updated version to its TASKalfa 2010/2210/2011/2211 series. This series is equipped with standard network printing function and expandable fax function. It is suitable for small and medium-sized working groups with less than ten people and an average monthly print volume of about 4000 pages. HYB announces latest new products HYB Toner has introduced new compatible cartridges for use in Ricoh machines. The latest products launched by HYB Toner, are a CMYK set for use in RICOH M C2001 devices. These new cartridge solutions come with an estimated page yield of 18,000 for the black cartridges and 15,000 for the colour cartridges. Olivetti MF3023 Utax 4006ci Waste Toner Boxes IR Italiana Riprografia announced its latest products range addition which are compatible toner cartridges for use in Olivetti D-Color MF 3023 machines, which come with a page yield of 8,000 pages for the black cartridge and 6,000 pages for the colour cartridges. Other highlights include IR Italiana Riprografia’s replacement toner cartridges for use in Kyocera M6230CIDN devices which come with page yields of 8,000 pages for the black cartridges and 6,000 for the colour cartridges. Other additions include compatible toners for use in Utax 4006CI devices. These latest new products come with page yields of 30,000 pages for the black and 20,000 pages for the colour cartridges. The company highlighted that also available from its range are corresponding Kyocera toner cartridges for use in Kyocera TASKalfa 4052ci devices with a yield of 30,000 pages in black and a yield of 20,000 in colours. IR Italiana Riprografia announced the expansion of its products range with the addition of compatible waste toner boxes for use in Kyocera TASKalfa 6500i, Kyocera TASKalfa 306ci, Konica Minolta Bizhub C360i, Ricoh IM C6000 and Xerox Phaser 6600 devices. The remanufactured product range was also expanded with the addition of remanufactured Graphic-Jet cartridges for use in HP LaserJet PRO M15A (44A) printers, which come with page yields of 1,000 pages. Also announced was the addition of remanufactured Graphic-Jet cartridge for use in HP Laser 107A (106A) devices, also with a page yield of 1,000 pages. IR Italiana Riprografia is proud to say that the remanufactured toner cartridges provide not only “OEM equivalent print quality,” but also “100 percent compatibility” with OEM products, as well as “significant savings” over the OEM. The remanufactured toner cartridges also offer MSDS in compliance with REACH. Additionally, the cartridges were produced “in a certificated environment” including the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certificate; the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system certificate; and the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 occupational health and safety management system certificate. The company added that all of its remanufactured products have the environmental certification (Ecolabel) ISO 14021:2016. The product performances of several items distributed by IR Italiana Riprografia follow the standards set by STMC and ISO 19752 and ISO 19798.
