ARCHITECTUREBOLD Restaurant, which has a totalarea of 790 m² on the first floor,differs from the ground floor with itsdifferent atmosphere that includes alarge bar corner, a fireplace sectionwith comfortable leather chairs,wooden and marble tables. MasterArchitect Feza Koca sums up thisspecial place with the followingwords:”The high ceiling and glass facadesof the place gives freshness to thespace. In contrast to the marbleand mirror veneers used on thewalls, we have provided an acousticsolution while providing a warmand moving effect with the woodenand acoustic panels in the form ofcircles under the metal honeycombsthat we used in the ceiling. TheBlackhall Hall, which is designed toserve special meetings and events,can be combined with the BoldRestaurant with the movable wallsin the hall and it enables a biggerspace for the organization of otherbig events. The meeting area calledMr. President is designed as a specialarea with meeting room, service,WC and cloakroom which is opento the use of the chairman and theboard members. It was our primarygoal to provide a good acousticsin this meeting room. The woodveneers used in some parts of thewall covered with acoustic panelssupport this goal. Black acousticceiling is designed with the designof lacquered wood inspired fromthe way the camera visor opens. Themeeting table and seats were broughtfrom the Beşiktaş Gymnastics Clubbecause the important agreementswere signed on this table and it has aspiritual value.”Gym Club on the first basementfloor, which has a total 1100 m² area,includes the fitness area, spinningand pilates studio with sauna, steamroom, relaxation and massage rooms,indoor pool, outdoor pool andchildren's pool. The fitness sectionfacing the front façade has a terracewhich has camouflaged the retainingwall by landscape design formed atdifferent angles on the terrace. ElipsDesign & Architecture has followedthe same design approach and thematerial catalogue which they usedby taking their inspiration from thecolors of Beşiktaş for the design ofthe main entrance gate and securitybuilding like the main building andfor the landscape design, creatinga large and simple grass field wasconsidered as the main idea. The4600 m² outdoor area is planned tobe used for different purposes suchas wedding, celebration and openaircinema. There are 2 entrancesand 2 security buildings and a carpark with a capacity of 60 vehicles isdesigned.28 April/2019
