Absolwent Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie,<br />
jest trzecim polskim barytonem w historii<br />
nowojorskiej Metropolitan Opera.<br />
Śpiewa też w mediolańskiej La Scali, londyńskim<br />
Covent Garden i paryskiej Bastille.<br />
Grand Prix na konkursie ARD w Monachium<br />
(1990) otworzyła przed nim wiele<br />
europejskich sal koncertowych i teatrów<br />
operowych. Występował w Niemczech (m.in.<br />
w Norymberdze, Frankfurcie, Kolonii, Hanowerze,<br />
Karlsruhe, Monachium, Darmstadcie,<br />
Dreźnie, Berlinie, Lipsku), a także w Glasgow,<br />
Brukseli, Amsterdamie, Paryżu, Tuluzie,<br />
Montpellier, Maladze, Mediolanie, Florencji,<br />
Wiedniu, Reykjaviku, Petersburgu,<br />
Vancouver, Hongkongu, Tokio, Tel Avivie, Jerozolimie,<br />
Hajfie.<br />
W Teatrze Wielkim w Warszawie zadebiutował<br />
w Simone Boccanegra Verdiego<br />
(1997). W Operze Wrocławskiej kreował<br />
tytułową partię w Królu Rogerze Szymanowskiego.<br />
Artysta od kilku lat koncentruje<br />
się niemal wyłącznie na dużych, wymagających<br />
partiach z oper Verdiego i Pucciniego.<br />
W La Scali, w ramach obchodów roku<br />
Giuseppe Verdiego (2001), śpiewał pod<br />
batutą R. Mutiego w Rigoletcie i Trubadurze.<br />
Na festiwalu Maggio Musicale Fiorentino<br />
wziął udział w inscenizacji Rigoletta<br />

Dresden, Berlin and Leipzig), as well as in<br />
Glasgow, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, Toulouse,<br />
Montpellier, Malaga, Milan, Florence,<br />
Vienna, Reykjavik, St. Petersburg, Vancouver,<br />
Hong Kong, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and<br />
Haifa.<br />
Debuted at Teatr Wielki – Polish National<br />
Opera in Warsaw in Verdi’s Simon<br />
Boccanegra (1990). At the Wrocław Opera,<br />
played the title role in Szymanowski’s King<br />
Roger. For several years, has concentrated<br />
almost exclusively on large, demanding<br />
parts from operas by Verdi and Puccini. At<br />
La Scala, as part of the Year of Giuseppe<br />
Verdi celebrations (2001), sang in Rigoletto<br />
and Il trovatore under the baton of<br />
