ruje nad orkiestrowym akompaniamentem.
Powtarza się również pogląd o niedostatkach
instrumentacyjnych, wskazując na
typowo fortepianowy styl muzycznego wyrażania
się kompozytora. Są to w moim
odczuciu opinie tyleż powierzchowne, co
krzywdzące. Partia orkiestry jest na tyle dobrze
zintegrowana z solistycznymi frazami,
pasażami i popisami, że podkreśla ją kolorystycznie,
podpowiadając niejako zawoalowane
w gąszczu fortepianowych dźwięków
liryczne melodie. Chopin nie mógł
skonstruować akompaniamentu tak, jak
uczynił to był Ludwig van Beethoven 20
lat wcześniej – np. w potężnym Koncercie
Es-dur. Istotą Chopinowskiej koncepcji wykorzystania
instrumentów był liryzm, daleki
od monumentalizmu rozwiniętego stylu romantycznego.
Nota o kompozytorze znajduje się przy
koncercie z dnia 11 listopada 2009.
builds towards an increasingly bright mood,
culminating almost in euphoria.
It has become customary to say that in
both of Chopin’s Concerti – and especially
in the Concerto in F minor – the piano part
predominates considerably over the orchestral
accompaniment. Also repeated is a
view about shortcomings in the instrumentation,
pointing out the composer’s typically
pianistic style of musical expression. My
feeling is that these are opinions as superficial
as they are harmful. The orchestral part
is so well integrated with the solo phrases,
arpeggi and technical displays that it underlines
them coloristically, suggesting, as it
were, lyrical melodies in the thicket of piano
sounds. Chopin could not construct an accompaniment
in the way that Ludwig van
Beethoven had done 20 years earlier – e.g.
in the powerful Concerto in E-flat major. The
essence of Chopin’s concept of the utilization
of instruments was a lyricism far-removed
from the expanded monumentalism
of the Romantic style.
