Why nesting saw?
As a rule, a "standard" saw is used in nesting. This dips deep through the material to
cut the lower edge of the workpiece. However, too great a depth of cut in the
protective plate / sacrificial plate can lead to too great a loss of vacuum.
With the nesting saw, the bevel on the teeth is matched to the penetration depth so
that the underside of the workpiece is cut - but the protective plate is only minimally
scratched. The vacuum loss is reduced and the holding force remains
receive.
