Inspiration From the Editor
It’s been a dramatic year
for us all in 2020 dealing
with the COVID-19
global pandemic. Our
lives have been turned
upside down by a
virulent and highly
contagious virus,
unknown to any of us
before the start of 2020.
Many of us have had to make major, and often
difficult, changes in our working and private
lives. We’ve been restricted in how and where
we can travel. We’ve had to deal with the pain of
not being able to see loved ones for months, or
worse, losing them without seeing them. And
some of us have been sick with it too. It’s been a
really tough year for us all and you, like me, have
probably had enough by now!
So here’s an invitation for you. I’d like to give you
the chance to put your troubles to one side, get
the kettle on and sit down for a good read that
might help you forget, at least for a few
moments, all that difficult stuff.
This issue of Inspiring Women is full of drama
to entertain you. We have stories from all over
the world of women “treading the boards”,
either for a living or for their own pleasure. We
also have stories of women using their passion
for the dramatic to help others.
As you will hopefully have noticed, we have
made some updates to the magazine in a spirit
of continuous improvement. So needless to say
we would be very grateful if you could complete
the survey for us by clicking HERE!
I would also like to draw your attention to the
ways in which you can get more involved. You
can nominate people to be profiled and you can
write articles for us. The details of how to do
this are on p. 80.
