In Fig. 2 a), b) <strong>and</strong> c), the electricity <strong>and</strong> heat supplies are met by electricity from power<br />

plants alone or by power plants <strong>and</strong> fuel boilers. In these <strong>systems</strong>, fuel cell power plants<br />

would result <strong>in</strong> significantly lower fuel consumption, also when <strong>in</strong>termittent resources, such<br />

as w<strong>in</strong>d power, are added to the system.
