We love a good
time here in Excelsior
Springs, and that
typically includes all
kinds of exciting events,
like festivals and big
gatherings. As we all
know, 2020 threw that
for a bit of a loop. We
learned though that we
are able to adapt and still
have fun, even if it looks
different than what
we are used to.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
START OF YEAR / SPRING
A lot of our events for
2020 were unfortunately
postponed or cancelled,
but as we don’t know
what the future holds,
we are moving forward
with tentative plans to
continue with our normal
events in 2021. As we’ve
also learned, change
comes swiftly and with
no regard to our plans,
so all events are subject
to change. However, all
of our local businesses
have spent the past
year cultivating safe
practices to continue to
stay open and continue
to provide services in a
safe and healthy manner,
so even if our events get
cancelled, your trip to
Excelsior Springs can
still be amazing!

to social distancing,
mask requirements and
capacity requirements,
so those must be
considered at the time of
each event as well.

SUMMERTIME
The beautiful Lovers Lane in East Valley Park becomes a haven for
wine lovers during this annual event. Missouri wineries will be on
hand with samples and wines avaialble for purchase. Food, craft
and art vendors are also available with live music throughout the
day. Tickets will be available at VisitExcelsior.com
Waterfest is one of the biggest festivals of the year for Excelsior
Springs! Waterfest features vendors, live music, celebrity guests,
contests, kids inflatables, fireworks, food, a beer garden and more!

From all across the Midwest, competitive smoking teams turn out
for Excelsior Springs’ sanctioned BBQ competition. For a small admission,
guests can stroll around taking in the sweet smell of BBQ,
talking with the competitors and enjoying live music and fireworks.
Proceeds directly benefit the Excelsior Springs community in a
variety of ways.
