TWO NEW CPR
mannequins at Lincoln are
set to save lives.
The Lincoln Club and
The Famous Grouse
Hotel bought the two
mannequins, costing about
$2000, to donate one each
to Lincoln St John and
Lincoln Volunteer Fire
Brigade.
Brigade chief Jeremy
Greenwood said the
mannequins were
interactive in that they
monitored the speed
and depth of chest
compressions, enabling
the user to adjust their
technique if required.
He said
cardiopulmonary
resuscitation was a skill
firefighters could have to
call on at any of the jobs
they went to, ranging from
house and property fires
to car crashes and medical
calls.
“It’s a skill that we
all need to be well trained
in, and that certainly
“We want to support
of making Lincoln safer,”
